In an ongoing effort to increase McMaster’s network reliability and performance, University Technology Services (UTS) has scheduled a network maintenance window for Sunday, Jan. 22, between 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Some portions of the network will be disrupted from 8:00 a.m. - 10 a.m., including:

- Cisco AnyConnect VPN will be unavailable at times. You may be disconnected from the VPN or unable to reconnect.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure will be unavailable for 30 minutes.
- Azure Cloud Infrastructure will be unavailable for 30 minutes (impacts Azure Virtual Desktops).

Planned activities for the 10:00 a.m. - 1 p.m. window include:

- Kenneth Taylor Hall (KTH) will experience a network outage for up to one hour, affecting all wired, wireless and telephony in the building.
- DeGroote School of Business (DSB) will experience a network outage for up to one hour, affecting all wired, wireless and telephony in the building.
- Togo Salmon Hall (TSH) will experience a network outage for up to one hour, affecting all wired, wireless and telephony in the building.

This maintenance is part of planned monthly UTS maintenance windows necessary to perform upgrades to McMaster’s network.
